Only bagged one cache, a virtual, but it was a positive weekend all the same.
The virtual was in Guildford, on top of a hill with some spectacular views of the town and it's cathedral. There's a stone commemorating the march of the Cornish rebels in 1497. They fought a battle on this spot on their way to London. Worth a walk up the hill if you're interested in historical landmarks (GC2613).
I also received permission from the local council to go ahead with my earthcache, so that's been submitted and I'm just waiting to hear from the powers-that-be as to whether it will be published.
Another bit of good news is that I should receive photos of the samples of my coin this week. I'll post them as soon as I receive them.
I'm also getting my birthday present early. I won't say what it is yet, but it could potentially transform my geocaching experience! Watch this space …
